When purpose
Of the heart flies
Shooting past the star
I wished upon when young
Living longer than any sun
Coasting through the ages
Experiencing the phases
Of the moon’s moods
And its color of blue
And my soul
Unsettled and arriving
Upon conclusions and surviving
Storms of under toes to an abyss
In dreams
I saw friends and lovers
Enemies and others
But I have never seen
Life quite like this
